Bobbe Norrisという歌手をご存知ですか？

アメリカでは実力派の中堅歌手として活躍しています。中堅といっても広いアメリカのこと、素晴らしい歌を唄います。ご主人はLarry Dunlapというピアニストで、2003年11月から12月にかけてPhillip Morrisのパーティの招待で来日しました。

そのパーティの後で、いくつかのライブハウスでライブが計画されました。その１つが爵士樂堂の親しいCozy-Lでのライブです。

志保澤さんからも薦められていましたので行ってきました。

LarryのピアノでBobbeが唄うと聴いていたのですが、旦那のボーカルは、またまた味わいのあるものでした。

極めつけは二人のデュエットです。

なかなか聴けないデュエットで最高です。デュエットを面白がったところ、次々とやってくれました。

セロニアス・モンクの”Blue Monk”はいろいろな演奏家が好んで演奏する曲ですが、この二人のデュエット・ボーカルが素晴らしいのです。

”Blue Monk”の歌詞が出ている譜面はありません。ないと知りたくなります。そこで、知り合ったばかりのLarry Dunlapにメールを出したところ、直ちに返事が来ました。もちろん「ブルーモンクの文句」を書いてくれました。
